About Kylie Mayers Psychology

Welcome to Kylie Mayers Psychology

 Kylie is a warm, compassionate, and practical Psychologist with over 23 years’ experience working with children, adolescents and young adults and their families in a variety of educational settings. Kylie enjoys collaborating with clients and their families to identify individual strengths and challenges to make specific recommendations for appropriate adjustments and supports to allow each client build resilience and flourish. Kylie’s extensive experience in schools and knowledge of relevant procedures and policies allows her to collaborate effectively with parents and schools to support each young person’s emotional, learning, and social needs.

Kylie is skilled in supporting young people and their families with a wide range of presenting concerns and individual differences such as anxiety and mood disorders, Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADHD, interpersonal challenges, learning and behavioural difficulties, navigating educational pathways, grief and loss, school refusal, and parenting support.

Kylie prefers an eclectic approach in her work with young people that is non-judgmental, empathetic, and tailored to her client’s specific needs. Kylie uses strategies across various domains including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Solutions Focused Brief Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Logotherapy when tailoring support client needs. Kylie is also adept in formal Psychoeducational Assessments to determine whether a client may have underlying Learning differences that need to be addressed to allow better access to educational participation.

Kylie has a Master of Psychology (Educational & Developmental) and is a registered member of the Australian Health Practitioner Regulations Agency (AHPRA).  Kylie's areas of expertise include:
